Where did you see this, Glen?
I saw it on the ship of course. I was over in Bristol on business, took a walk along the river, happened to look across at the ship and said (in my best imitation of my 17 year old son) "wait...what?"
So I thought that the image was to move to a museum. I guess it either isn't going to happen, or will not happen after all.

Get better soon, Lisa!
Nice to see the chatter on the forum! I was away for a couple of days for business, and came back to some good reading.
I'll be uploading three weeks' worth of SkiErging tonight.

Looks like it did happen, between the 2 (and only 2) visits that I've ever had to Bristol:

I don't understand why they had to remove it. They say that it was to preserve it, but the ship is being refurbished in dry dock and will then go back to it's current location in the harbor. So why not refurbish the painting with the ship and keep the image in it's original location; it was a landmark.
These people have no sense of propriety.

Aw, Lisa, sorry about your flu. Stay in bed, watch Gilligan's Island reruns, or better yet, Bob Newhart. Have your family bring you cold sodas and crackers.
Gee Ron, it's a cold and dreary nor-easter Saturday here on the New Jersey coast. What to do? What to do? I know! I'll venture down to the basement, and climb on The Beast! Catch me if you can

Maybe it's me, but I'm thinking Twilight Zone and scotch.

Well, good suggestions both of you, but it ended up being Nova, Nature, This Old House, and hot tea. Meters to be posted presently!
