Good job team!! People are meeting the challenge and passing milestones! Very cool! Congratulations to all- it's fun to be a part of such a vibrant team!

I'm still in my boat, rowing and rowing until this baby decides to come out to meet us. My due date is Jan. 9. My other two babies were early, so I'm thinking I might deliver at the end of December. I'll keep you all posted!

Oh, a fun note...we have chickens at our house- 16 hens and 5 roosters. We got them as chicks and have been anxiously waiting for them to start laying eggs. We are now getting SEVEN eggs a day!! I'm so psyched! I can't even imagine what we will do when we start getting a dozen or more a day! CRAZY! Anyway, all my friends are getting quiche for a holiday gift! Ha, ha!

Have a GREAT Monday! Enjoy the season!

Mark Twain
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

It's good to be out of school and back to consistent exercise. I just feel better. Thanks for the encouragement. I will meet the 100,000 meter challenge by christmas eve.

Have a great evening everyone.

Alison, any improvement with your back pain?

Susan, you've really had a rough fall. I hope things are beginning to look up for you. I know how hard it is to be far from your mom.

It's very cold here, but still not cold enough to kill the pine bark beetle eggs. Now that the beetle is here, they expect that 95% of the surrounding forests will be gone in the next 5 years if we don't have a harsh winter soon. The dead wood will be a real fire hazard, too.

I had to take some days off from rowing this past week. Because Thanksgiving was late this year, I got a very late start with the baking that I do every year for my relatives. Between work and double baking in the evening, I was too pooped to row. The packages are in the mail, so I'm going to see what I can do to make up for all of the days I missed. I used to row just a little throughout the year, but I would always make the 200,000 for the Holiday Challenge (even if I had to row a LOT on the last day). I'll feel terrible if I blow it this year. Barring injury, I'm going for it!

Congratulations to all of you who have made your goals, and best of luck to those who are still working toward the 100,000 or 200,000 mark!

~Linda
