I don't think Zander or me will will make the National Para-Olympic team, but we have made the regional team and will be having fun competing . Z caught another staph infection on one of his legs where joined to prostetic. Some venues we go to are not as sanitary as should be. After most comps, we have open wounds that are easy to have bacteria enter. But we are having a blast and wish good luck to all qualify.

Woohoo and hooyah! It's a first ever! Congratulations, and thank you, to everyone on the team for bringing us this far during our tenth season as Luna-Tics. It is quite inspirational to virtually look around the team room and know that each of us contributes something to the total. So raise a glass of your favorite beverage sometime today and let the room echo with your shout:

To the moon, mates, to the moon!!!

Further adventures await!

And I can only endorse these comments, you are a source of great inspiration to many. Good luck with the training, and I think you sum it up when you say - having fun, that is what it is all about!

 Life is one big adventure for TomO, he is currently on school holidays, so plenty of time with friends, Janet & TomO just had a week at the beach with family friends, although rain made it difficult to get much swimming in. But he is looking forward to the Rugby season coming up in a couple of weeks!!

Next big adventure for him is Tough Bloke challenge in May, so he's been up in the shed with me doing some training find it hard to coax him onto the C2 though! He has actually done part of the course on a scout camp, so he has been passing on his insights to me :)

Good weekend, Baz

Wow. Congratz, Ron. That's an amazing number of meters for one season.
Does your family ever visit you when you're on the rower? Bring your meals?

CRIKEY! Amazing effort Ron. You could end up being the 'new face' of Vegemite with that sort of endurance (you sure you haven't got a jar or two in the pantry?)

Baz races around the harbor

Post by Kona2 » April 21st, 2012, 9:32 am

In just a few hours, the sun will be up in Sydney and Baz will be heading around the harbor for another episode of Bazzercise. It's the Men's Health Sydney version of the Urbanathlon, a 10.7 km trek filled with 10 obstacles - of the urban kind. Here's a link to the website where you can view a short video on obstacles they'll be maneuvering around during the 10.7 km. I think the biggest obstacle may well be the number of entrants! Good luck, Baz!

And congrats to Ron on getting into the skinny clothes! One of my co-workers used to remark that he should have worn his "buffet" pants whenever we all went out for a big lunch....
