All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 4.10.12

Post by Kona2 » April 11th, 2012, 1:28 pm

Hooboy! The pedal is to the metal on those ergs! Just when you thought you couldn't give any additional gusto, you flew by the goal you thought was the LAST one of the season. Admit it -- when you first started this erging business, you had NO IDEA that this would be such an addictive (in a good way) behavior.

Image Robyn's SF Giants are in town ... ready to give the Colorado Rockies another thumping. Where are the bats? What's happened to the fielding? Where is our third baseman?! Drama. But like rowing, another day will arrive and we'll be full of hope of a win all over again!

Season meters as of 348/366 = 195,627,112 m

Total meters on the day = 546,850 m

Oars in space (participation) = 28 percent (plus me. I forgot to upload my meters though)

They had a choral clinic there with the Director of Choral Studies. They are getting opportunity to attend some master classes with conservatories. Looks like they are performing on Saturday with Concord and Lexington Patriot Day area activities - just says "DSA students will perform for the many attendees." Hahaha. Am sure they are all having fun.

National Bike Challenge

Post by Kona2 » April 11th, 2012, 8:31 pm

Say, for those who might be considering putting in some bicycle mileage between May 1 and end of August, there is a National Bike Challenge. This free program runs May 1 to August 31 with the goal of uniting 50,000 people to bike
10 million miles. There are already a bunch of riders signed up to track their miles, but the leaderboard will reset on May 1.

Hi K2, where do you sign-up for that. Haven't really been riding much since Coast to Coast, but will probably start some soon...

Baz - I signed up on FB, although I don't think you have to be part of the FB community to join the challenge. Here are links to the FB page, and to the national bike challenge website. Looks to me like it is similar to the Concept2 app that posts on FB when you log in your data - although there may be more to it if you have the Endomondo app (not familiar with this one...yet).
