All right, Kyle! It would be great to see you on deck more often again!!! :D
Thank you! Glad you haven't kicked me overboard yet :)

Took my Aunt for her check-up at the cardiology dept. today. Seems the waiting room was teeming with overweight men and their worried
wives/ partners....
all while the tv in the corner was rerunning great info about improving your lifestyle with diet and exercise for a happy life.

Good luck everyone!

Took a week off of rowing to treat an injury to my stump. The extra time was taken to make sure I'd be ready for the start of the Team Challenge. That was a smart move but there has been a price. My original plan was to do a half marathon for the kick off. Had to make a choice at 10,000m - go on and risk another injury or give in. As you all know there's a wall waiting for us somewhere along the way when we get on that machine. Some days I work through it some days not. Today the wall won.

For the Fall Challenge, please put me down for 50K. Traveling and extra busy these next few weeks and thank you!

Gotcha, Ken. I already pulled numbers for today, so your goal will make it into Cap'n's Tuesday report.

I disagree -- I don't think the wall won at all. I think your head won by making the right decision. Victory over a mental wall by persevering through and being tough is one thing -- failing to listen to your body and bulling through come-what-may -- that's never a good thing. There will be other rows and chances to do that half!! Heal up first, John!!! :)

Edit to add -- I got you down for the 200k! Row strong!

I wish I could add more meters to the challenge, the team is rowing strong. Have to see a specialist tomorow for my foot. I have tried rowing with one leg, works ok but sweat is not plea
sant in the air cast.

I can certainly appreciate that. Many of us amputees switch over to one leg rowing partly because of the sweat problem?
