Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
David, good to hear things are going well! Nice to see the meters coming along.
Man, it's like an echo chamber in here.
I finally heard from the Cap'n and he will be doing meters again. Huzzah!! So let's put our backs into it! Only ONE MORE DAY in the 13-14 season!
I finally crawled over the million mark today, with 24 hours to spare.

Hurrah! Congratulations. There's something very satisfying about reaching the millionth milestone in a season, regardless of when it occurs.damselfly wrote:I finally crawled over the million mark today, with 24 hours to spare.
I've just read the last few pages; you seem to be nearly alone on the site for the past while, but I'm sure that, like me, others are reading your quips and enjoying them. I plead massive overload for not being more active: I'm moving soon, to an outlying district where there are huge trees; quiet streets; the ocean close by (a ferry terminal, but a very picturesque one). It can't come soon enough, but I'm sure I'll appreciate the time to sort through the accumulation that comes from staying in one place for 13 1/2 years, the longest stretch I've stayed in one place for my entire life.
So I'll say "Here's to the new season" in advance! Well done everyone and good luck for the new rowing year.
Heather

One day left in the season. I have 17,912 meters to row to hit my goal of 1.5 million meters. I plan an hour row for the morning and then an evening row to finish it off. I am so happy that I have found rowing and that I landed on this wonderful team. Thanks to all you wonderful teammates for being so encouraging and inspirational throughout the year. On to the 2015 season!

It is great to see our teammates achieving their Season goals. Congrats to everyone as we cross the finish line!
I haven't figured out my new Season goals yet. Probably somewhere around 3 million meters.
Great rowing Team!

Glad to hear Capn Izzy didn't fall overboard. And congrats, Lisa, on the 1MM!!! Huzzah! I'm a poor poster, I know, but quite appreciative of your efforts, Lisa and Izzy.
Happy rowing, on this last day of the year. A dismal, rainy day on the East Coast. If it weren't for this pesky job, I'd do a half marathon to celebrate.

Way to go everyone on your rowing goals! John, good luck hitting that mark! Bobbie, take the day off and do your HM. That pesky job can wait!
Row strong team, and here's to a healthy, active 2015 season!

Yes, I'm still alive. Yes, I will post the numbers for this week. Yes, I hit 12 million meters on the 20th.
No, I didn't reach my goal of 2.5MM for the season. No, I didn't get to 20 HMs (today's made 15). No, I didn't have a single row longer than 21,097m this season.
Yes, I'll stay Cap'n until someone else steps forward. Yes, I'm going for 2.5MM, 20HMs & 3FMs this next season. Yes, I'm proud of what this team was able to accomplish this season.
Congratulations, Lisa, on making it into seven figures for the year! I believe it's the 3rd time you made it to a million, but this one had so many more obstacles you needed to overcome to get there! You're one fly damsel!

Incoherently?! I understood every word I said - and other people told me they at least understood the word "MOMMY!"damselfly wrote:Man Overboard!
Still, this helped locate me. A young boy who reaches his MDR of calcium daily found me, and brought me to his teacher.

A fresh new rowing year! All of those glorious goals ahead! All those challenges! Welcome back Cap'n Izz.
I'm glad our teammates "across the puddle" have logged their meters--Chris did an HM, and Neil posted 10K. Dana in Florida posted 5K. We Yanks need to start rowing and logging!

Fourth! My first season, 2010 (pre-Izzzy) I did 1,165k. Still and all, I hope (for all of us!) there are fewer physical issues to deal with this year.Izzzmeister wrote:Yes, I'm still alive. Yes, I will post the numbers for this week. Yes, I hit 12 million meters on the 20th.

Here is to a new year for our group exercise- best wishes to one and all for a healthy and happy year long slog.
Congratulations- Lisa!
It is a privilege for me to be associated with so many hard-working athletes.
Ending with the words from an old song :

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Great year all, I made my 9 month goal of 1.5 million meters. On to a great new year. Based on my cross training regimen, I can only keep to that pace so I will try for 2m for the for 2015 season. Thanks for all the leadership, camaraderie, and support! I will try to log some meters today, although It ha been a heavy rowing week for me already. Go team! Big thanks to Izzy and Lisa for all your efforts!
