Whoa...talk about a question that is difficult to answer! The diplomatic answer is that whether you choose to row on the Luna-Tics Challenge team or the Overcoming Disabilities Challenge team, you're on the right team. The answer I think you are looking for is that all the adaptive rowers (that I know of) have chosen to row with the Overcoming Disabilities Challenge team. I know that they would welcome you and your meter contributions. As Ronnie says, this is a wild race right out of the starting gate...very few meters separate positions 7 through 10. The analyst in me says you will play a big role in helping the Overcoming Disabilities Challenge Team grab one of the top ten team finish spots. So, while the Luna-Tics Challenge team would LOVE to have you stay....I suspect you'll go with Overcoming Disabilities.
Sometimes it's about more than the numbers.....glad you are all rowing under the same year-round moon...

Richard, I agree with Jan, we would love to have you. We are committed to the year round Luna-tics affiliation team and I believe that is 100% unanimous As a challenge team we would like to finish in the top 10, we were edged out last year 3 days after the challenge was over by 50K. But as Jan says, numbers aren't really important. It would be nice to see the Luna-tics finish in 2nd place overall too. We believe in rowing safely and in the end, good health is the most important thing. As Ronnie says, row safely. ( does she also say " Be my little baby?") sorry Ronnie. Everytime I see Ronnie says, I think of that Eddie Money song.
Anyway, glad to see you rowing so many meters Richard, keep up the awesome rowing.

Number geek alert......
The chart below is the Staying Alive in the Top Ten chart. Sorry it is as fuzzy as it is, but better than two charts. Predicting that to finish in the top ten, teams will need to produce between 10 and 55 million meters. To use it, scroll down to the day listed. Then scroll across to where your challenge team cumulative meters are listed. At the top of that vertical column, you'll see the overall millions your team is on track to produce (at that particular point in time). I've highlighted day 3, since that's what we've just finished.
If you recall, the Luna-Tics Challenge Team as of this morning was at 2.235 MM...that means on track for 24 MM
The Overcoming Disabilities Challenge Team as of this morning was at 1.203 MM ... on track for 12.5 MM

I received this story today from ‘Intense Workout’ which is a great work-out website that cuts to the chase, no frills.
It is one of the most motivational stories I have read in a long time...and I can see myself going back and reading it many times, and I thought it would be worth sharing here...
