When I used to be coached during winter indoor training by a Yale coach, he always encouraged us to set the drag factor around 120. I think 117 is perfectly fine. But what is most important is find the factor that feels good to you. Once you find that match, use that drag factor when you switch ergs. Every machine is different. If you hop on a different machine and set the damper to 4, you may find a big difference in the feel of your stroke. Always check the drag factor if you use a different machine.j1415 wrote:A question:
With damper set at 4, drag factor is 117.
Is that within acceptable range?
Will hit 800k tomorrow morning.
Hoping for 1M by new year.
Cheers.
