Ho ho ho, look at the snow. Instead of going to work, I can ROW (after shoveling). Lisa and Capn, put me down for 275,000 for the VTC.

Welcome to all new TimbukTOOers!

A huge day for Team TimBukTWO for day 2 of the VTC, with 33 of 57 members (58%) logging 436,664 total meters Thursday! We're currently holding 8th place, but the big teams ahead of us are widening the gap... It's easy to take 7th place when you have 270 members...

Welcome aboard to new and returning members Chris Blore, Lee Cantey, Roger Gwinn, Susan Kalasoski, and Ed Pabst! Roger and Thomas are quick out of the gate with full marathons!

Extra funny as I'm low carb this year. My erg performance has suffered, but I'm told I'll be the best looking guy to ever finish in last place.

I have been part of this team for close to 4 years- and even with injuries and recoveries and even as members have come and gone, the trend is definitely towards a larger and stronger team.
Captain and Lisa are doing something right.
I am in awe of the prodigous accomplishments of our members.
We have a great team with a great attitude---even a virtual team requires coaching leadership, nurturing and TLC.
- kudos to our leaders-

Bessie Smith once sang: give me a pigfoot...
The Smothers Brothers once sang: I'm a boatman, gee I'm sore, I came home without an oar.....( I think that line is meant as a double entendre? )
The Grateful Dead have a song: Row, Jimmy, Row.

All I can add is:
Hand me an oar and get out of the way- there is a team challenge-- and I need the exercise.

Mathineer's VTC Goal

Mathineer's VTC Goal: 175,000 meters

I would shoot for 200Km, but my mother is in hospital, and I'll have trouble getting in my rows every day.
