It sure beats planking!

It may beat planking, but it doesn't beat Anvil Surfing!

Wow! (Did you have the pizza and it bothered you, or did this workout precede the pizza and you now deserve it? They seem like damn good times to me!)
I was distracted by Lisa Farthofer and forgot to reply to you. I like rowing for food, but this time I made the mistake of having the food first. There's not enough hours in a day to separate a 2k from Italian food. You need to count that in days.

An FM is what happens when you get peer-pressured into doing the second annual "Crazy Erg Marathon". At least 8 of us did FMs and 12 did HMs. There may have been more that came later, but we ran out of ergs at the boathouse (despite the fact that some of us brought our own ergs from home). Here's a blurry view of a few of us near the beginning of the workout, and no I'm not admitting which one is me :)

What, no TV? How do you take it for 3 hours??

I know which one's you but I'll never tell... ;)

P.S. It couldn't be that bad, otherwise there wouldn't have been a 2nd annual event...

What do you mean? Can't you see the jumbotron at the end of the bay? Gotta admit it was a pretty boring show though, just looked like the Portland waterfront for hours. Obviously it was a public access show.

Lisa and Izzy, I was updating my profile to make sure they could mail me my holiday challenge gift and I completed my last name B for Brady. I vaguely recall that may have cause confusion in the past. I hope not, I just passed 900k lifetime meters and am debating (with myself...sanity check please) if I shoot for the 1M by 12/31 or relax and get it after the holiday's.

Thanks for the heads-up, John. My program isn't the smartest thing, and it will look like John B quit the team and John Brady joined, so I'll edit the database directly and all will be well. :)

You could go either way with the 1M by the end-of-year... I'd just say if it adds any stress at all to the holidays, leave it alone. You've come SO far already in so short a time -- relax and be refreshed for the Virtual Team Challenge!! (Cuz Izzy's gonna whip us silly.)

Thank you and thank you for the sage advice, I probably will wind down for the holiday and let everything heal up. Between weights, rowing, cycling, and core conditioning I push my body pretty hard. Time to rest up and rejuvenate after one more row day tomorrow!

I just got home from the "Y" erging a 1/2 marathon to get me across the 300,000 meter mark for the challenge. My thanks to the room for putting up with my crazy distances. I sometimes erg with the head rowing coach for the Alabama Womens Rowing team... he just shakes his head!
However you celebrate this joyous time of the year, be happy and safe.....
