I did, in my defense, do some circuit training on Friday. I rowed OTW yesterday in the freezing rain. I erged my first 2k in 9 months today - in unheated boathouse. I'm not sure which was worse - probably the 2k.

My time was limited, so it was a 2K warm-up & a 10K. My warm-up took 7:35.3 (1:53.8 per 500m), the 10K took 38:04 (1:54.2/500m).

Today, I finally made it to 11 million (on the nose). Sadly, it took 175 days to go from 10 to 11 million. I guess hitting 11MM is just not as motivating as aiming for 10MM... My total time for all 11 mil was 720:29:38.3. Now I just have to find my total for 10MM - which is somewhere around here and always findable when I don't need it - so I can figure out how many hours this last mil took.
(My average time for this season is 1:56.5 per 500m, not in the same league as Jim Conley's 1:52.3, but not too bad for a 54-year-old whose average weight has been over 260.)

Just took a few days off. feeling good, but a Cold is trying to sneak in making my breathing a little tough. Still working to get my 2+hours in the morning but now I am doing intervals on Tuesday nights...."that explains the "7thousand +" Lisa. Now I know why the machine will not let you do no more then 30 minutes of intervals doing 30 minutes of intervals on those nights "30 1 minute with 1 minute rest" working on keeping my under 2 minutes avg and 258 to 260 meters per 1 minute pull...I tell you that 1 minute rest does just does not seem long enough....I just might have to retire from work if I ever get my own rower.

I hope everyone has a Great Thanksgiving Holiday, be safe and remember eat healthy and row on....

David

I've found that recovering from an injury is so much more than just getting my body to heal. Pain is one thing, I can overcome that. The mind plays a much more nefarious game.
