Thanks Jef but it was your pace that kept me going - I was preparing for your charge at the end.Jef wrote:We were neck n neck until 1900 metres to go... he powered home.. and I thought MY pace was nice, never slowing... I'd like to see his splits. They must rock.
That was good fun this morning. Am getting quicker at the early starts, sets me up nicely for the day.
Managed a 10k pb - 38:05.2 @ 31spm which was an improvement by 64.6 seconds. Jef was only slightly behind with his 3rd fastest time ever
It’s getting confusing posting on LW's site and here so I’m going to stick to .com unless this thread dries up. Am quite happy to run with the majority view though.
Followed up 15 minutes later with a 45 minute session at 2:07.5 with Gary and Mark. So with the 2k warm up that was 22.5k before breakfast - rewarded myself with a slice of toast with lemon curd (on top of my usual porridge).
Have a great day everyone

Been Away from Exercise and Good Habits for over a Year.
Trying to come back but it hurts.
2:30 Pace on 10k is hard, hard hard.
September 2013 - Onward, Fingers Crossed.

Why not? I've done a 37:56 (April 2006). Kris has an age/height advantage on me.Graham Fisher wrote:You would not be able to row a 10k in 37 minsKris Kuzniar wrote:if I knew it before my training at 7AM, I'd go for 10k in 37min, not 39Darin wrote:Kris,
Would I be right in saying that I sense negative vibes?! Take it out on an erg - that's what I do.
Infuriating isn't it?
