CTC July: 30 minutes (unrestricted)

Post by Tom Barrick » June 27th, 2006, 1:40 pm

That's the CTC competition for July that the Eh! Team has chosen. Looks like no more sprinting for at least a month. <breathes a sigh of relief> I don't suppose we can use our Nonathlon scores on this one?

Tom: Define "unrestricted" -- Does that mean no stroke rate restriction (As in, we're free to row 1 spm or 100 spm)? Or can we row with one arm? Sitting backwards with the handle tucked under our elbows? Using an underhand grip? Holding an umbrella? Wearing funny hats? With our hair in curlers? Barefoot? Topless? Wearing nothing but Mardi Gras beads?  Details, man!

Yes, all of those things! In fact, the more of those you do, the better score you'll receive by the judges. I did tell you about the judges...

The "beaded lady" was rower of the day about three months ago. I believe that she posted her picture upside down and she was really looking out a window with nothing on except her "Madri Gras beads"! I don't remember which team she was with, but, when I find her again, I'll let you know....

Little Rowing Turtle:

You know that I like to row strapless (no shoe straps) as the change in my stroke has been great. Topless???? If it's humid in the basement, I'll row topless every time!

hmmm....Team Rowbo I....if someone could improve their score by 5 meters, we would move up a slot...

28: 20 pts Free Spirits IV 7549.6m
29: 19 pts Team Rowbo I 7548.8m
(7549.6-7548.8)=.8*5=4 meters
