Thanks Jack yes once it all settled down the work I did preop has paid off with a more rapid recovery than seemed likely.
I'm not expecting a lot but it's great to be moving and fit again.
Great to hear this Lindsay. Best of luck with your continuing recovery

I just managed to post a CTC time before the month ran out. My rowing has taken a back seat as I've been busy recovering from an injury and focussing on my running but I'm happy to have squeezed into boat 2.

I'm inspired by other Flyers dealing with surgeries, injuries etc. and just keeping on going.

Hang in there, Russell, and thanx for putting up your number on the CTC.👍

Limdsay, good luck with the recovery.

June was about as rubbish for rowing with me, mojo left and hid. Still snuck the ctc in as the onlymrow of the month i think.

July 9 x 333, now we are talking, good motivation piece, done it three times already. Mojo back.

We are on average i think a boat down on ctc, bit still i see some new names, welcome all.
Lets have a roll call, if you do one this year make it this one and we can see who is still about.

Boat 1 floats, me and gym buddy Carol completed this morning,, slow build, still have the tear im my hip which makes it unstable and prone to painful unexpected movement

Have a good month, ill do some facebook and ctc updates soon

I did the CTCs 9x333m today. I aimed for a 2:05 pace, but started too fast. Eventually finished with 2:04.3.

Now I will have a break for 3 weeks as I'm going on vacation. So this will be my first and last try.

Nicely rowed bassongirl! It's always nice to be able to row faster than the target speed.

I also participated in the challenge today and my goal was to row every interval under 1:40. I succeeded (avg 1:38.9) and for the first time in two months my knee didn't hurt.

Hey MTP, I think this is your first post to date. Thanx for joining FF. Strong effort on the 9x.3k. Hope you get to know Harry Säison, fellow Finn and Forum Flyer. Look for <harrythehamster> posts here or in Training subforum.

Moonbeam entries show up on most C2 meter challenges (with names attached). First time I’ve seen an anonymous total on the affiliation standings. Apply to Dena H. for its removal. Hardly fair to entries with names. Unless it’s Hugh Jackman, in which case he needs a good talking to.

very quiet around here! I am afraid I can't add much though.

Training is going well now 12 weeks post TKR although still a long way to go (I hope!) Mostly doing cardio sessions to 45' with some harder intervals and a fair bit of resistance stuff. Much fitter but not a lot of speed yet.
Today had a harder 5k to see how it's going - managed @2:09.7 which is acceptable right now.
My erg buddy Terry is starting to get really serious again with his sights on when he turns 80 next year and attacks the LWT records again.
This week he has done a 2k @2:01 and today a 5k @2:03.7 - both top 3 in the rankings for the 75+. It gives us both some really good training goals for the next 12 months.

Full gas on the shorties. That’s the way to go after a thorough warmup. You might like a bigger staircase?— say the 250 . . . K . . . 250? 4k of exhilarating fun—NOT, but you’ll be pumped after if you hit them all right at the edge! A few weeks of speed intervals plus 4xK and 4x2k endurance intervals is a good way to get there. Sounds like Pete Plan, hurts like Pete Plan, results like Pete Plan.

Lindsay, good to hear Terry B. is another Bob Spenger. Snow on roof; fire in furnace wott!

Kept the long ones @<1:55 and 4 @<1:50
Terry was @1:56 to float second boat
