Curious about teams

Post by wryly coyote » April 2nd, 2022, 7:09 pm

I'm not a serious rower and relatively new, but I wanted to explore teams to see if it's something that would help me row more than I do currently (1-2 times a week). I do typically 30 minutes and am up to 6500m now for a time of 2:17.

Might do. Go here⬇️

https://log.concept2.com/challenges

Year-round rowing challenges for collegiate, corporate, military unit, and gym-based teams and of course also ‘virtual’ internet aggregations. Mostly seasonal ‘participation’ (meter muncher) challenges, personal fitness ‘start-me-ups’, and perennial World Rowing comps. See team pages subforum also. You’re already there. You might like Forum Flyers, sub-7, Lunatics, 50 Plus, Diamonds—all reasonably active on forum. Many more @ Facebook.

Thanks - so there are only 3 team events per year and everything else is individual challenges, am I understanding that correctly?

"Only 3" events a a year ? if you go 100% your need the rest of the time off to recover. Worst fatigue of my life doing a HM every day for 21 days straight and not a day off in between. If Concept 2 ran a proper verified meters only challenge, I would only do one a year.

Yes, Fall Team, Virtual Team, and World Erg. If you have a yen for the long haul, you could try the Crazy Bear daily HM series. Might be fun to do it with Carl on RowPro.
