13x5=65. Could that be 67 posting times? 69 would be possible with 4 unboated supernumeraries so a decent turnout certainly.

Finally got a seat pad. Made it to 30k. Was painful, but I made it! If I can make the FM at an average of 2:20 I'd be beyond stoked. Aiming for the beginning part of the Holiday Challenge for my FM

No, not anything specific, but the last 3 weeks I do the daily C2 training mail, the “long”. That gives variety in my trainings and a surprise every dayxam217 wrote: ↑November 15th, 2020, 8:15 pmCongrats Johan! Huge improvement. Are you working any specific training plan?Johan Smit wrote: ↑November 15th, 2020, 9:42 amSo boys and girls, one month ago I registered myself in the Concept2 log and with the FF. Also joined a group or 2 on Facebook. Learned a lot from your posts. One month ago I did a 12,5KM with a SPM of 27 and a pace of 2,23. DF, never heard of. Yesterday I did my first HM in 1.29.47 with a SPM of 24 and a pace of 2.076. DF: 125 Very satisfied!

Wow, congratulations! So near to the holy grail of the FM. What seat cover did you go for, and what time did the butt pain begin?Swittenbrink wrote: ↑November 17th, 2020, 2:08 pmFinally got a seat pad. Made it to 30k. Was painful, but I made it! Thanks Neil! I got a Hornet Watersports XL antislip one. Was sore around 20k but I imagine it wasn't recovered from my 22.5k w/o pad the other day, haha! Gonna take it easy (shorter distance) for the next week and hopefully I'll be all set. Blisters happened this time on the backs of my heels, that's a new one for me.

Looks like 3:16:55.2 elapsed! Holey Moley, Suzanne, that will be mucho strong! Treat the blisters and figure out how to avoid or mitigate b4 the attempt.

Nothing like this month’s CTC to remind me that I’m not a sprinter . I sort of lost myself there since early October with asthma kicking my butt and a bunch of work deadlines and stress eating and now I’m 5 seconds slower and feeling green during this pyramid.
Wow! Good luck, you can do it! Are you following any set training schedule?Swittenbrink wrote: ↑November 17th, 2020, 2:08 pmFinally got a seat pad. Made it to 30k. Was painful, but I made it! Re: Forum Flyers
Err, nope :/
Did a bunch of 20s previously. Got a seat pad and hit my 30. Going to do some 5s at a faster pace leading up to the FM. Slower day the day before *shrug*
Open to advice, haha.
Just trying to push myself, I had hit previous goals so I thought "why not?!"

Hello everyone!
So... The last time I logged into this forum was 2008 when I was a 19yo lwt.. I was participating in the c2ctc challenges with you guys
Well.. I'm now a 33yo hwt is there still room for a little one?
I had health (mental) problems around 2008 that had me largely give up on everything and anything. But got back in a boat a couple of years later and pulled a 6:24 2k which I was very happy with, before having 3 kids and work, work
Sorry for the life story I've bought myself a model E hoping to get myself back in great condition and my goal is now to rebreak sub 7! I pulled a 7:58 last week and a 7:40 this week, so it's slowly slowly catchy monkey etc...

Re: Forum Flyers
Welcome back, Marc. Was that 6:24 2k in a scull or maybe done on an erg for a seat in CTC? Current WR in single scull is 6:30.7.

That's me Marc Wilson-Blackburn, I go by Marc Wilson nowadays, saving the kids the torture of a double barrelled surname!
The 6:24 was on the erg at the local rowing club, we had a competition. I threw up and didn't feel feel 'with it' for the rest of the day so I suspect that's about my physical limits.
I'm resetting all of my PBS and what have you anyway, I'm a shadow of my former self. But I intend to change that!
