It is that time for a CTC all time update, spot your name, row every month and climb the ladder of fame, your efforts are being tacked.

19 99 Dirk Moller
When was the last time the legendary Mr Moller was seen on the forum? Is he still pulling world class times?
I Talk to him every now and than. Dirk had a serious injury last year, upperleg. But is doing fine again, he does train again. Both weights and rowing.

A trivia, both Dirk and I are born on exact the same day. B) not date, day
My favorite story of people born on the same day is that of the Zatopeks. Both Emil and Dana were born on September 19, 1922 and both became Olympic champions, he in multiple distance running events and she in the javelin. Emil lived to be 78, and Dana died earlier this year at age 97.

(Note to self: You're closing in on age 78.....better start throwing the javelin.)

Anyone in touch with Lindsay Hay recently? Last post 11/5. No blabbermouth but very regular poster to training, weight loss, FF pages. Not the sort to go walkabout.

hi jack and thanks for missing me! Steve Ockerby sent me a RUOK? text this morning after seeing your post. I have been MIA for over week sadly and missed 6 out of the past 9 days training and no time to stick my head in here at all. A bit down too - I have a deeply ingrained training habit and it doesn't take long mess with my head. I just have to accept that work is going to continue to beat me up so I did a slow 6344 this morning for the IrL just in case I cant do a proper one.
Not all bad though - last weekend was my son's (destination) wedding which was great of course (but took out 3 days)

So boys and girls, one month ago I registered myself in the Concept2 log and with the FF. Also joined a group or 2 on Facebook. Learned a lot from your posts. One month ago I did a 12,5KM with a SPM of 27 and a pace of 2,23. DF, never heard of. Yesterday I did my first HM in 1.29.47 with a SPM of 24 and a pace of 2.076. DF: 125  Very satisfied! :D

Congrats Johan! Huge improvement. Are you working any specific training plan?

Four boats afloat already in this month’s CTC with half the month yet to go!

For the longer term members...does anyone recall the max number of boats that Forum Flyers has ever floated?

Doug Lawson, our cantankerous and long-suffering moderator, might be able to compile a list? Or Joe Keating? 12 monthly times 15 yrs. plus perennial memorial challenges is a major chore in ‘View previous’ on the site. I looked a bit at 2006. Back to back 500m and 10km in April and May yielded 8 or 9 Flyer boats. Don’t think FF ever had the level of activity of Sub7 or the conscripted schoolkids of Banana Boat. Chis and Dave may also have some information.

I don't think I can formulate that as a simple SQL query (because the filled boats are generated dynamically - the database only has users, challenges and user's entries to challenges). You can see old challenges with
http://c2ctc.com/index.php?c_id=1
through to
http://c2ctc.com/index.php?c_id=192
Pull each of the 193 challenges (including this months) and count your boats using a MK1 eyeball and a piece of scrap paper.

Joe's monthly posting in this thread have the boat counts for each team (from his own spreadsheet) and are a more usuable resource that anything I can get for you (without pulling a copy of the database and sharpening my coding pencil).
