CRASH-B update
The CRASH-B Sprints will be held on Sunday, Feb 28. There is usually a live-video feed (lasts all day long) of all the events.
I just noticed a schedule of events has been posted and it looks like bg's race will be at 10:10 Eastern time (http://www.crash-b.org/regatta/event-schedule/),
which might be a little early in the just27 timezone.
I found a list of entries (entries for bg's race is at https://www.regattacentral.com/regatta/ ... vent_id=44),
but it seems the erg assignments have not been posted yet (but it's still early).
I think that a link to the live video feed will appear on this page (http://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/racing/world-irc),
but I think usually not until early on the day of the event.
So at 10:10, you can tune in, and watch bg race - knowing the erg number might help you spot her as the camera pans.
And you can shout words of encouragement in a Twitter feed, and if you're lucky enough, your tweet might be read aloud during the race.
I will post all the information when I see all of it become available.

That's great. Thanks Jeff. I was looking for that link, and I didn't find it.
I see some Morris names on that list. Are you cheering on a family member?
And thanks for the attaboys, Jim. Everybody deserves a break now and then.

I haven't checked the forum since the end of the JVTC. I've been taking an erg break (except for my 14k Valentine's weekend). Glad I just checked in to learn about K2's retirement.
I want to give K2 (Jan) a great huge THANK YOU! You have kept me motivated to erg more than I ever imagined these past 8 years. You are a great inspiration. I will miss your bunny trails. You have worked diligently and deserve a break.
Thank you Danwho for stepping up to the plate. Glad to know someone will be keeping us in line.

Whoa! Maybe I'm in denial here, but I think this is a break, brought on by an amalgam of of overwhelm, and a well deserved break, not a full blown retirement. Was there a gold watch?
Anyway, on another topic. I stumbled across this...
http://www.localxpress.ca/news/2016/2/1 ... oor-rowing
My first reading was a little careless - I thought she was going to be at the CRASH-B's too, but she is not.
Maybe she'll be there on the year that the whole LUNA-TICS team converges on Boston...

No erging relatives, I think. I live nearby, so I like to drop in to the Crash-B's for a bit of inspiration. It's quite a sight, with several hundred ergs and cheering crowds, announcers, tallies on the big board, plus a mess of vendors. Admission is free and (I think) parking is also.

Running in the raw. Hmm.
Oh yes they call her the streak! BG, you are one cool chick! Um, lady? Woman? Human? Whatever works in your world, you are very definitely it.
I just updated my stats and found my season total is now 3,236,263. I never plan amounts so I find it sort of amusing when I get something that works out like this.
Keep on rock’n, running or anything else that keeps the heart beating. Clothing apparently is optional now and then too.

A heavier topic than I would normally pick, but in
acknowledgement of the recent passing of Harper Lee,
here is Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch in "To Kill a Mockingbird."
And, by the way, I just read that Gregory Peck rowed at the University
of California in 1937. http://www.usrowing.org/about/rowing101/quickfacts
Welcome, Ren V !!!
