Virtual no more!

Post by just27 » January 27th, 2015, 5:07 am

It was very fun to meet up with Lynne C (right), for brunch, on Sunday.
Great to put a real person to a name; and to discuss canoes and paddles!
(Though, selfies always get you WAY too close to the camera.)

I did it! I had a personal goal of completing a marathon row before my son turned 1 year old. His birthday is Friday, and today I got the marathon done! I didn't break 4 hours, but I was pleased to get a personal best.

Kudos to you! I did one erg marathon a few years back and am glad to have it under my belt, but I do not have the temptation to do another. (I'll stick with an occasional 1/2 marathon for now.) Who cares what your time was. Your goal was to do one before your son turned 1. You met your goal so you achieved great success. Congratulations to you!

Karyn

PS(Wow Richard! A 1 million meters in a month. You amaze me. I love the special AJ boat you acquired.)

PPS(Ron - the erg will be there when you get healthy. Let your body recover. It is okay to take some time off the erg..)

Hooyah and congrats on the marathon and PB. Um, what did you do with your yearling, while you were rowing? Is he walking, yet?
