Looking to join a team

Post by Restless » February 9th, 2012, 1:32 pm

I'm just wondering if it's appropriate to go ahead and join a team, or should I be contacting a team captain beforehand?

Depends on the team.

Some are entirely open (Free Spirits, Luna-tics, Timbuk[tu|to|two], some like you to make contact (just so we get an idea of who the random folks are that join), some like to invite their members to join.

There are a couple of very active teams that post on this forum, but since you use "stones" for weight, you might find the UK forum to be more interesting.

Join up with Free Spirits! Loads of members in the UK and an active forum. We are mainly focused on the C2 challenges, Cross Team Challenges and piling on meters. There is a weight loss group in the team that share progress.

Here's our website: http://warmup.freespiritsrowing.com/content/

We are an open team, so you can just select us as your team on the C2 site. You can request a user name on our website to participate in our forum.
