Population numbers of caribou are somewhat cyclical, but the timing of declines and increases, and the size to which herds grow, is not very predictable

Even without googling ... I think not. I'm pretty sure one involves rum and ginger ale; the other features pale and dark beers. Stick with the Champagne, don't mix grape and grain, and you won't get a virtual headache. Grin. (To quote Thor!)

Like Bullwinkle and Rocky's hometown of Frostbite Falls, there are a lot of other cities and towns vying for the title of Icebox of the Nation. Fraser CO is one that is frequently mentioned in national news coverage as being coldest place in the nation. Still, past a certain point, cold is just plain cold. At about the time of the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon, my family was stationed at Ft Greely Alaska, which is south of Fairbanks. While the area is called high desert, it can have some pretty low temperatures...like 70 F below zero (probably one of those temperatures with wind chill factor). On those days, everyone huddled around the open stove (mom would turn on the oven and open its door to warm the room more)...trying to stay warm...and definitely no outside time. We're a long way from 70 below today, but some of you might not be so lucky. Stay warm wherever you are!

Hi Guinan~ for my drink order, I'll take a Goombay Smash (rhymes with Thrash, perhaps a New Year's poem will be forthcoming?). Recipe if required:
1 oz spiced rum
1 oz Malibu® coconut rum
1/4 oz apricot brandy
2 oz pineapple juice
2 oz orange juice
Highly recommended!
And greetings to Xander--what a lovely boy! He looks so interested in his new world! Congratulations...

The drinks I forgot to label last night before posting. From left to right:
Bahama Mama, Beam Me Up Scotty, Black and Tan, Milk, Don Julio 1942 Tequila, Champagne, Goombay Smash, Roll!, 50 year single malt Glenfiddich (an upgrade) DiSaronno, and what is suppose to be a Manta Ray Martini Glass(but looks like it is melting for the heat the erg is producing).

Ah, those Manta Rays are always swimming about.
Most excellent display, Guinan !!
bg, I remember one particular run in the single digits (not factoring in the wind chill) - in which some body parts that were always considered safely protected were not protected enough (damn that wind chill). But what was most memorable was that I had a beard at the time, and my breath was freezing into my beard, and when I finished, I looked like the Abominable Snowman.

Tis that time in Oz already... Guinan, sorry for being tardy with my order, however would love a couple of drams of Scotland's finest (IMHO...): Lagavulin. With ice, and a sniff of water to release the "smoke" please!
Cheers to all from down under, and may 2015 exceed your dreams!
