LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
She's A Meter Millionaire !!
Amidst the clatter of reindeer hooves, and shouts of whoop, whoop and away!, Jane has crossed the ONE million meter milestone for the season! Congratulations, Jane. We wish you MANY, many more fireworks !!
Re: Too much time on my hands
Very good! A new reindeer game....and since you are playing by antler lights, you've won a few rounds!danwho wrote:

Hooboy! Santa's called a reindeer meeting and it's a STAMPEDE with all the herd clamoring to get fit for the sleigh harness (some bits are definitely flashing, too), and the new LED antler lights are going to have to spaced throughout the sky or we'll have a meteorish look as we flash by while making all our deliveries.
Today is Christmas Eve in the Southern Hemisphere, and Dave H might be working feverishly at the rower to get those last few meters done prior to antler lights. Norton in NZL is also close to metering enough for a reindeer....it's all good! Here in the Northern Hemisphere, we have today and tomorrow to get it done - and there are SO MANY who are SO CLOSE to a milestone. Alas, I do not believe the Erging Universe can make the $30K goal as we are well behind the graph at this time (we would need to be at about $27K overall). I'd love to be mistaken - and it is possible that there will be some late postings...
FLASHING HARNESS SIGHTINGS:
Hula Hula (Minnie)
ANTLER LIGHTS:
Amerigo (Peter H)
Meteor (Robyn)

We met for brunch and some great conversation!
that is sooooooo cool :}

Hi Kona2,
I've seen you make this "mistake" before. For sure the Aussies are on the other end of the world and south of the equator, but just being south of the equator is no guarantee that it's xmas eve everywhere (Argentina Chile etc.). In stead of Southern Hemisphere it is the fact that they are (like me) in the Eastern Hemisphere, so further ahead in time than the Western Hemisphere that mainly contains the Americas.
Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Hmmm - I am at least consistent then. It is tomorrow in New Zealand and Australia. They see the Southern Star. You got my drift...and I never heard of the Eastern hemisphere....as long as Amerigo knows where he is going...
Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Obviously, our Luna space ship operates outside the realm of Earth's navigational definitions. In our inter-galactic bubble universe, it would be the celestial sphere ... those "AUS," "NDL," "UK," and "US" type tags are simply our place of origin.nl07695 wrote:I've seen you make this "mistake" before. Argentina and Chile are certainly places you know about ... And since it is not quite 8 pm on the 23rd, I think I get it (until next year when I will have to relearn it). Good catch - now I just have to recruit some of those folks.

You KNOW that feeling.....it's the last set of meters that will take you to your milestone....the numbers are disappearing from the display....and you start to row or ski-erg FASTER to get to zero...well, we have a couple of teammates who are SO CLOSE to getting to the Concept2 donation and reindeer claiming....or to antler lights. Let's send some "get those meters!" thoughts to:

Much as I would love that half-moon to be mine, I missed the last couple days. So that 21,097 meters isn't mine, darn the luck.

Merry Christmas everyone!! Hope you are able to spend time with your families... We took our 3 yr old to Dubai and skied indoors in the desert. Great memories for sure.bg wrote: while's here...merry christmas...and great rowing everyone :}
