How is the seat pad? Does anyone use it or have a replacement seat they recommend?

I got one of the garden pads from Walmart and it works great.

Lisa harvests those numbers with her little macro, then either she or I work on them a bit & post them...

Re butt difficulties on C2 rowers.

There seems to be two problems: (1) the seat is hard and unforgiving causing bruising in the area where bones meet the seat, and (2) the buttocks around the tail bone rub on the back of the seat causing painful sores to develop.

The solution to both problems is a reasonably thick pad (at least an inch) with a 'U' shaped cut out in the back of the pad. It is a combination of padding and elevation that solves both problems.

Hi Destin,

The main logbook (http://log.concept2.com/log.asp) will show you your lifetime and season meters. What I use to get our stats is our affiliation page (http://log.concept2.com/challenge/univD ... =TimbukTOO). This shows everyone's season meters. I just take the difference between one day and the next to figure out what everyone rowed that day.

P.S., I love how a website can be described as a "little macro"...   MS SQL database, stored procs, a few thousand lines of source code...

Gary G – 6,723 Making lemonade out of a lemon of a season!

It has been one helluva season! But I am working on my re-built stroke - the modifications I had to make in order to avoid lower back re-injury are slowly coming out of my stroke- so my pace is picking up, but gradually. And I am cross-training more, even have added some light weight work in to my routine.
It is a good feeling to be back in the weight room at the gym- even lifting light weights.
I do very well at the gym, provided I go in a straight line- no impact and no torso-twist are the keys for me.
The Precor AMT (Adaptive Motion Trainer) and ARC work well for me, as does a treadmill that I can adjust to a steep incline- and just warming up and cooling down by walking the track seems to help.
Party on- for as the song says......" the other half found me stumbling 'round drunk on Burgundy wine...."
And as one of my favorite authors once wrote:

gum 'em!

Just bested my 6K SB for the season by over 34 seconds, moving me from #33 to #13, from 92nd percentile to 97th! 21:30.0, or 1:49 per 500m! Tired & late... Great weekend, everybody!

Hi, I'd like to join your team for the team challenge coming up on March 15. How do I go about doing this?

New people join, others leave, but the base remains strong.

I'm still trying to get my knee to cooperate after my recent disagreement with the ice on my driveway - I did more damage than I realized at first; this just doesn't want to get better.

I'm very much hoping to be able to contribute to the upcoming team challenge. If you could put me down for 1k as my goal, then I'll see how it goes from there :D

Hi Tara! We'd love to have you on board. While we're sad to lose Jim, his seat is nice and warm, and his oar works well.

Here's the how-to on joining team for the challenge: http://log.concept2.com/challenge/events/teammember.asp. It's a two-step process -- you have to select the team "TimBukTWO" and join, but then also confirm that you want to participate in the challenge.

Good luck, and welcome aboard!
