Please help...Join a Team is "closed"?

I am trying to join a virtual team but am having some problems doing so.

This is what I've read on the Concept2 website about how to join a team.

Go to Logbook > click Teams > in the "Join a Team" section, click "Choose a Team" > select team affiliation.

When I go to Logbook > Teams, there is a message that says "The World Erg Challenge is now closed to new team members. The next team challenge is the Fall Team Challenge, which starts on September 15." and no ability to "Choose a Team".

Am I missing something? or Do I need to wait to join a team?

Go to your profile... create or edit your profile... Scroll down to ...Affiliation ... then join a team by selecting one. That way you'll be part of an existing team. Join a team for a challenge is different.
