Now is the time....

Image We're heading towards a photo finish, teammates! There are several critical times in a Challenge, and this is definitely one of them. Never think that the meters that you row don't count...because EVERY single meter counts in a virtual team challenge like this one. Like any sports team, there is no comfortable margin of meters ahead that will guarantee that you can't be caught by another team as meters are uploaded in the final days and in the day or two after a Challenge closes. Many of us have seen the Challenge results hinge on less than 10,000 meters, and have been left wondering why we didn't just row that extra bit that we were considering. It matters. It all matters. To the ergs !!

Capt Kristine is sporting some of the best hair in the ArMOONda - and many will recall the first time that the ArMOONda sailed that with each increase in meterage (is this a word?!), and move to a new boat...the hair got bigger. Loved it! Kristine was sidelined with a respiratory bug for about three weeks of this Challenge. She shows what she's made of though - and powers through it to her canoe! Well done!

A hair comparison. Way to row, Team! Keep it going! A moon-sized thank you to AJ for the amazing and motivating super fun artwork, and to K2 for calling all the shots. The extra time you put in to the team is recognized and appreciated.

Will she EVER take us for a walk again????
I am so familiar with that look! My lab-mix thinks that my "rowing clothes" look awfully similar to my "walking clothes". Thankfully, it was rainy today, so she didn't beg for a walk tonight.

That's it? No prior approval by the team leader? I'm interested but don't usually row very much at all during the summer. Is that an issue?

We welcome meters whenever - many teammates use rowing as cross-training, and some get on the water rowing as soon as they can, then get back in the rowing machine mode about the time of the Holiday Challenge. This rowing stuff is addictive though.... :D
