I remedied the fly wheel engagement issue. I snuggled a can of silicone spray in between the engine block and turbo charger to heat it up. After a half an hour I took it out and thoroughly sprayed the flywheel gear assembly with HOT silicone and began rowing. It worked great! Not one malfunction during my 5k row at minus four (-4) degrees. So who knows what the bottom really is. Next time in Wyoming I'll try it at minus 10.
Note of Caution:About half way through the 5k I removed my skull cap due to excessive heating . 5 minutes or so later the tops of my ears began to burn signifying the early stages of frost bite. Warning - Rowing can be hazardous to your health.
