Great job everyone! Still looks like it's going to come down to the wire for 3rd place. We're hanging on at the moment. Ron is in striking position to hit 1 million. I knew you could do it Ron. Looks like Jay is trying to repeat his 15th place finish from last year. With only a few days left, finish strong with your heads held high.

I didn't know Sunny, but I can't help but want to push a little harder for her. It's easy to feel sorry for yourself and think life isn't fair. If you open your eyes and look around, you see that some other people are seemingly dealt a worse hand are happy and living life to the fullest. What do I have to complain about? Life is a blessing. Make the most of it. Work hard, play hard, love hard.

Pretty cool rowing Big Brett. Dad and me are having a contest the next 2 days. I have 75k so far today (5-15k's), Dad has around 71k, but he did a full marathon instead of splitting it evenly. We are both trying for a 100k day. Don't think the old guy will make it.

Congrats to all those that have reached milestones and welcome to all new members. Sorry i don't write on the forum much, but read it everyday. Thank you Mrs. Jan for all the great things you do and also Da Do Ron Ron.

I've only had the one 100k day during the competition last year. I tried on the first day of the competition this year, but gave up at 80k. Four other times during this competition, I've had between 67k and 70k. For me, that 70k mark is the line where it gets real hard. Good luck getting to 100k if you're not already there yet. It's 9:50 in the evening and I'm trying to get back on one more time for 9k. Knowing what you put yourself through today makes me think my last row of the day will be easier than yours. Thanks for posting. It's good to hear from you.

Wowzer, mates! While deciding games for the Orioles-Yankees and Nationals-Cardinals played on (the Nationals GAVE it away), the Jim and Jay erg odometers were smokin! Jay adds another chapter to the 100K in a day Luna-Tics...and Jim adds a worthy, and indeed AMAZING 74,695 m in a day. What's even better is that this is probably another great chapter in the Kielma Family Challenge Series... Think I'm reading into Jay's statement above that he thought the better strategy was to go for the shorter (as if 15K is short !) rowing sessions to get to 100K vs doing a full marathon and then rowing the difference... Was great to see a posting from you, Jay!

Image Full moon for Jim + a lotta other meters

Image Supernova for Jay.....100K in a 24 hr period Whew.

Word has it that Jay's going for another big meter number today....something about trying to give us some insurance meters for third place...

Way to row, gentlemen!

Image Welcome back, Robyn! Should be a great series between the SF Giants and St Louis Cardinals !

And, of course, teammate Rosita will not be watching baseball....since we know it is not her favorite sport.

Image Day 29/30 of 31 ....

Just a few more days to go ... and Challenge team finishing positions are still up in the air! Currently, both our Challenge Teams are in the top ten percent of all the Challenge teams (a very nice place to be!) with Overcoming Disabilities team members adding a lot of meters to seal the deal for 16th spot (still giving it a go to make 15 !), and the Luna-Tics Challenge Team currently in third place overall. Row what you can when you can - it's a great feeling to know you're helping your team succeed !

What a day yesterday was! Many celestial events occurring: TWO meter millionaires zoomed across that milestone line, a 100 K day Kielma Family Challenge, TWO red giants (50K or greater in a day) from Brett and Richard T, half marathons and more from Ron, bg, Cathie, Ted, and Tim G), commemorative rows by Ron, Marie, Marty and Tanya, and strong rowing by ALL of the team. Today marks the point where we have 200 rowing days to go in the rowing year. Can't remember another year that has started quite this way. You are all awesome teammates!

Season meters as of 164/365 = 73,875,035 m

Total meters on the day = 677,622 m

Oars in space (participation) = 29 percent

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations:

3.25 MM Jay - with a Supernova ... 100 K in a day
3.2 MM bg
2.65 MM Richard T (almost 2.7 MM)
1.85 MM Brett
1.75 MM Jim
1.4 MM Jane
1.3 MM Minnie

1.0 MM Rebecca
850 K Tim K
400 K Tim G

Congrats Jeff P. for a million meter season so far! Great rowing!!! Welcome back Robyn, looks like you have 2 pretty good teams to root for.
Richard, glad your Bronx Bombers are doing well, but it would have been nice to see the Orioles get a shot. The Yankees have such a storied history and some "real" legends that are so inspirational unlike some steroid users that have inflated numbers (arod). oops. don't want to go there.
Great rowing meters to all on this super team.
Quick Tristan update: He is playing center for the JV team (real football Rosi :P ) They have only won one game but the senior high is ranked #1 in state in our classification. Tris is in 8th grade now, I remember when he used to sit on my lap on the rocker. Now I can sit on his

Image Hang on! It's always a wild erg time towards a Challenge finish line!

Like erg ninjas (just go with it) our teammates are stealthily making progress - both on Challenge teams and on personal milestones. We have at least two teammates who are closing in on the million meter milestone, so be watching for a chance to celebrate.

And welcome back to Jodie J - always good to see returning teammates here for another season of rowing.
