Congrats Christa and Rosita on the 1 million season!

Thanks all for the well wishes. Late in the evening, I feel like I'm turning a corner. Ron, I know the right thing to do would've been to take it easy. Unfortunately, that's not how I'm programmed. As Forest's mom said, "Stupid is as stupid does." I backed off my pace from trying to keep below 2:15 per/500 to trying to maintain 2:20. I can't believe what a difference that made for logging more meters today. It was so much less wear and tear on the body for only adding an extra 2 minutes per 10k which was well worth the trade.

Well, we're over the hump and it's all downhill from here (or is it downstream?).

Thanks for all the congratulations. Started the season out right with a lot of meters. A lot easier after I retired. Now that I have returned to school time is at a premium again. But it sure beats working.

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 10.01.12

Post by Kona2 » October 2nd, 2012, 8:40 pm

Image Day 17/18 of 31

Hang on to those ergs! There be some pirates in the waters around us - and they are challenging the standings! Greenville Indoor Rowing is throwing a good charge at us, and Overcoming Disabilities has temporarily been edged out of 15 into the 16th spot on the roster by a fire/police/rescue team...We're having fun no matter what. Brett's just about to enter the 900 K level, and Richard T is closing in on 400 K. All kinds of meters count!

And speaking of stats of all kinds, looks like the Rockies will avoid a 100 loss season since they rallied for a win in the 13th inning last night....whew. That was close.

Season meters as of 153/365 = 68,400,828 m

Total meters on the day = 562,279 m

Oars in space (participation) = 37 percent

Has anyone heard anything about the rowing movie "Backwards"? It sounds like it might be good. We don't go to the movies much, but if it is good, just might.
