Well Just broke my 10million meter mark, what a great feeling... :D It was a great feeling now on to the next 10 million... Yea!!!!!!

I just wanted to throw a couple of pennies into the mix first and for most, Stretching...after having 4 knee operations and shoulder surgery on both shoulders I find myself in an issue first and for most I don't really stretch prior to rowing I use a 2 to 5 minute light row prior to my work as my stretching now, once I finish my 2+ hours, I do stop and stretch both shoulders, arms, triceps, back and legs after my rows every time, I find that this gets me ready to now move on to my next sets of work outs. It really keeps be from getting sore and tight. So in my mind stretching is a necessary part of my workouts..... I also do some light stretching prior to doing any kayaking on weekends.... I just love all the interaction on this site from everyone, keep it up..... on keep on rowing.....

What? Women don't sweat! My wife told me that when they get hot condensation forms on their skin due to the temperature difference.

well, i just passed through 8 million lifetime meters but my rowing (please don't call it erging) journey has been a lot longer than 18 months!
Why do people celebrate getting a year older?

Just read this story about where the name of the Blackburn Challenge comes from. Wow. 5 days-no food or water-let his hands freeze to the oars- his partner died. http://www.blackburnchallenge.com/BBC_Race_History.html Man-and I whine about a sore back and knee. When these guys used to fish out of dories, they got dropped in the middle of the ocean-all kinds of weather-I can't even begin to fathom an ordeal such as that. And then-with no fingers and toes-he continued ocean adventures.

Hey team. Thought I'd drop in and give an update on my shoulder injury.

It was getting better and then it flared up again late last week. Went to a sports doctor yesterday and the good news it's only a bone bruise on my clavicle. I guess I got a little too aggressive sleeping on my side when I thought it was getting better and that caused the flare up.

Putting heat on it to speed the healing and should be trying out some light workouts late next week.

Miss my rowing, hope everyone is well.
