I was very impressed by some of the efforts put out by TimbukTWOers in the FTC! Some of you had limitations on your time, strength, etc., and still put up some very nice numbers. More than half put up 6 figures, and almost every uninjured person put up some meters. Almost everyone reached their goals, many blew past them. (Okay, I missed mine, but I’d aimed high, some unforeseen circumstances came up - and I still reached a reasonable total.) No white flags flew over this ship. And a little mouse in a rowboat valiantly kept pace with us on the starboard side…
So, although Captains don’t usually salute their crews, I salute each of you for your strong efforts that kept us in the Top Ten despite our size, and for your unflagging team spirit!
Now we need to hold on to those advances in fitness and health, and carry them through the winter and beyond. In this way, we will have the health and stamina to accomplish those things we seek in our lives.
(Today is the final day to put up stray meters, so please record any such meters.)

Hey, that's not fair - I don't flog EVERYBODY! For example, I don't flog masochists - especially if they beg. Nor do I flog empathizers - I flog the person next to them!

I really did want to take it easy after the FTC, but it doesn't seem right to ignore the rower.

I think they get lonely, and feel under appreciated and neglected.
