Hey Bob,

Just so you know you are not alone:

I do not have a C2 at home either. I go to the gym first thing each morning before work. I row as part of my regular workout. I am limited on time so that is why I am usually posting around 5-6k each day. I thought about getting one for home, but then I couldn't watch all the people in front of me at the gym.....

The hard part is the winter, getting my car out of the snow to go to the gym. But so far so good!

Pats vs Dallas Tomorrow, I'll be there eating all the calories I burned up this week on the rower!

Go Patriots!

PS. Lisa thought I posted in Blue last time, better keep my glasses on! B)
Lisa, you and the captain definitely kept me going, thanks for the push!

Good work all!

Forgot to add-everyone did an awesome job! 8,545,672 as of now-works out to 5310.03 miles. Team average is 158,253 or 98.3 miles per. I think that's pretty darned awesome, and give yourselves a pat on the back for doing it.

Ahoy, tired TimBukTWO compatriots! I think pretty much everyone has reported in, but let me know if you post more meters after this report. On our final day of the competition, we have 12 of 54 members (22%) logging 176,198 total meters. This has been an outstanding team effort for the entire competition, and like Smitty says, pat yourselves on the back for your wonderful performances! Just don't twist or strain anything in the process -- Skeleton Crew is just around the corner....

As things stand now, we will finish very strongly in 10th place, with only 3 of those 9 teams ahead of us averaging more meters per member. Really, really outstanding!! It has been an honor serving alongside all you athletes...

Posted Meters:
Rusty A - 12,263
James C - 2,000
Gary G - 10,044
Bruce H - 60,010 Yow!!!
Elisa H - 15,021

Chris H - 12,001
Andy I - 15,406
Vince M - 1,000
Kim N - 5,000
Heather R - 16,000

Matthew R - 16,342
Joseph W - 11,111 :D

In our final set of milestones: Bruce H netted a cool half mil (500K), Heather reached an outstanding 400K, Rusty A achieved 250K, and Gary G surpassed 200K.

All in all we had 1 rower each over 700K, 600K, and 500K, two rowers over 400K, 2 over 300K, **13** over 200K, and **11** over 100K. Total team effort, 8,567,303 meters. How far did we make it back towards the west coast, Smitty?

And... Almost all our rowers reached their personal challenge goals!! Our poor Cap'n was undone this time by forced shore-leave, I'm sorry to say.... :(

Challenge Goals - Day 31 of 31 (100.0%):
Rusty A - 255,104 of 100,000 (255.1%)

Well, I used to be able to say I lived in the Pocono Mountains, but then we were told they are actually considered an "eroded plateau"! Just doesn't have the same ring to it :)

Shahespeare had it wrong, ...a rose by any other name would NOT smell as sweet!

I don't know, Mike, the "Pocono Eroded Plateau" has a nice ring to it.... ;)

I just want to extend a final invitation to all our challenge team participants to join our year-round affiliation! We'd love to have you, and it is nice to have ongoing motivation and comraderie throughout the year.

LOL, yeah, we'll call it PEP for short :)

Hey, did you see we even get prizes for the fall challenge. Assuming I'm reading it correctly you get a C2 bandanna if you rowed at least 100K or a C2 carry bag for 200K. Don't know if everyone is eligible for these prizes or if virtual teams are excluded, so your mileage may vary!
