Out of town last weekend. No rowing.
But I'm back at it. About 7k per day.
If it wasn't for this work thing...
Hit 350k total. Had rower since July 31st. Would like to row at least 2M per year.
I figure about 325 rowing days per year.
Cheers.

And then there were Image days remaining in the Fall Team Challenge!

FIVE Luna-Tics in the top 16 rowers in this Challenge:IN-CRED-IBLE !

Ron is at # 4
Brett is at # 6
Jay is at # 11
Cathie is at #14
Michelle is at # 16

Here's a link to the individual contributions made - can't say enough about how everyone is putting in such tremendous numbers of meters - and still balancing the rest of their lives! Rest days are good things.

Top Ten Percent Goalers: You need to have at least 168,000 m on your log sheet for this ranking!

Percent Participation: We're at 88 percent...still. Need to have just THREE more who signed up input some meters....

I know our lead over FS is over 2 million meters, but I feel like Barbies Red Sox. Is our lead shrinking slightly? Or am I just paranoid, being a Cub fan and knowing you can never win.

Also Congrats Tamster on your first million meter season. About time little sister

Two million meters seems like a lot, doesn't it? Never doubt the ability of the FS rowers (or any other team) to get a burst of energy (especially on the LAST weekend of the challenge) and close the gap. FS has indeed closed the gap by 300K today. Whether that is due to the fact that many of their rowers are in the UK time zone, thus posting before us, I dont know. Maybe we better row some extra meters today.....and tomorrow....it's the thrill of the chase, and we are the rabbits....

Row Luna-Tics!!!

Yes it was. It's hard to fit in many meters on weekdays. I haven't taken a day off yet. The end is in sight.

Fall Team Challenge: Thru Day 23 of 31

Post by Kona2 » October 8th, 2011, 11:10 am

ImageImage

Total Challenge Meters = 19,124,464 m

Oars in space (participation) = 90 percent ! Hooyah !!

Top Ten Percent Goalers = need to be at 176,600 m

Image Challenge Days To Go!

Must admit that the possibility of seeing 20 million challenge team meters later today seems completely surreal...and so it was that I went looking back through the volumes of postings in the challenge to find the one below from September 30th...
BigBrett58 wrote:Today is the half-way point. As a team, I think we can be proud of what we've done so far....we're on pace for 25 million meters as a team. Does anyone think we can do it?
I am a big believer in putting a number "out there" for the team - because we then have something to use as a target. Brett threw the 25 million meters out there, and I added "with 90 percent participation." Well as of today, we have that 90 percent team participation. Brett has now crossed the 900K milestone for the Challenge - in a personal challenge to go 1 million meters (he says 1.2 million is his goal) - and is leading us towards that 25 million meter finish. We have many teammates who are pushing themselves to help the team succeed - and it is that sense of "team support" that I think stands out for me even more than being in the second spot on the roster.

IF we stay on current pace, we will make our 25 million meters as a team. There are still EIGHT days to row....and much can happen.

Thank you to all who are rowing on the Fall Challenge Team - you are inspirational ! Every single meter counts - and we all know that some are very hard to earn. Thank you especially for those that you pushed yourselves to give...those are the ones that put us over the top as teams and as individuals. Rock on, Lunies !!

Here is a link to the individual meter contributions:

http://www.concept2.com/sranking03/team ... index=2537

And, because the individual rankings are starting to change ever faster with each passing hour, I wanted to call out that we still have FIVE individuals who are in the top 16 of all rowers....not an easy feat at any time, and certainly more difficult at this time in the challenge. Just like in many races, those who have set the pace throughout the race become even larger targets to those behind them. You can do it, Lunies !!! We all row with you !!Simply incredible efforts going into these numbers!

Brett - 5th
Ron - 6th
Jay - 10th
Cathie - 11th
Michelle - 16th ....and number ONE adaptive rower!

Best ever!
