"The smith, the smith, a mighty man is he" (Longfellow) (Not really)
Another 20K and change-feeling not so mighty-BIG blister on the right heel-good thing someone invented moleskin or I might have to stop. I think I should have set my goal a wee bit higher. If I hit it, does that mean I can stop???

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Forgot to ask a training/rowing question. Not sure if this is the right place for it. I've been averaging 2:04 to2:18 or so per 1000 meters. I keep my machine on 3. I do the calories burned version on the monitor and and I try to keep in the 800-1000 range the whole row. Are my times good, bad, indifferent?? Thanks for the input in advance.

WOW !!! I can't come close to matching that pace for even 500 meters. I'm lucky to do a 2K in under 10 minutes.

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Yow!! Yeah, I'm doing well to manage 2:10-2:20 per 500m split. When I row for distance, it's more like 2:35-2:45. But I'm a runner masquerading as a rower...theOtherOne wrote:2:04 to2:18 or so per 1000 meters

I have a friend who rowed in the '92 games I think. He says they used hit 1:30/500 in their workouts. This guy helped me with my form when I started. It was amazing how powerful he is, and he doesn't even row anymore!! (yes I've tried to recruit him!! )

We're not letting you out of the boat, Smitty!! It ain't even October yet!! I can reset your goal to 300, then you'll be forced to row on!!The Blacksmith wrote:Oops-just checked my stats-185,131.
