hi jim and team,

looks like we have a new member or did i just miss this person since i'm kind of new myself. either way, hello robyn and welcome! also, i'll toot my own horn in reaching 13 million monday. now if i could just get a bit faster...

i calculated yisroel's split time from his million meter info he has up and wow...
the meter totals are motivating from the entire team (jim and john especially), but you folks that do them so fast are incredible. thanks for the inspiration!

Yisroel does have very fast times. Very impressive! And everyone else that has those fast times, Wow!! I am a slow turtle I think.
Welcome back to the team Robyn, glad to have you back. Sorry I missed that this morning

A sub-2 minute million meter is quite amazing!! I'm just pressing on and hoping to get there by Christmas. I had ~ 450k before I started back up and am averaging a little over 100k per month. So I should get to a million meters at the end of November or early December. These long rows help knock out those meters, but my kids keep asking me when are you going to be done so we can play Uno.

Casey, I know what you mean about kids asking when will you be finished rowing. In my case, it is grandkids.

Wow, guys, what a great OTW row! My last one (and I am still a total newbie on the water) was miserable - couldn't get my act together, but tonight was great! Really got a sense of the efficiency of the stroke. Hands up first up the slide has got a real purpose - it sets you up well for the catch. Yes, it is hot, but I guess it must help a lot to have the breeze we generated. My distances are a total guestimate, since we trade off along the way, but I got more row time in seat 3 (have been in bow before, which seems to catch more rest). 8 person shell, with a cox drafted from the Vanderbilt team who had just finished their training row. Ya gotta try it, its so great!
I will get a little rest time, driving up to Indy tomorrow after work (yawn) for my sister's "special" birthday.

Hi Jim and Timbuk2,

Have not been able to ski much as I was in Ft Myers Florida on business last week. Unfortunately didn't have time to see the sights or go down to Pats neck of the woods in Naples.

I am moving apartment next week so will be another week at least before I can restore some routine. How difficult it is to lose weight but so easy to gain some :(

Chris, Good luck with the move, hope you enjoy the new apartment. Weight does come back too easily, but I am sure that after you get settled in and ski-erging, you will drop the few pounds.

Please welcome Debra to the team. She is Bernie's wife. We are so glad to have you on the team Debra.
