CONGRATULATIONS Yisroel for topping the 300K meter mark. :) Way to row! Awesome season.
Welcome back John from a short much needed vacation. Big day for John with an outstanding 31127.
We had a TimbukTOOian day yesterday with a HUGE meter total of 143169! Way to go team, very impressive rowing from all who contributed meters.

Sandi------------4987
Adam------------20966
Alison------------3500
Yisroel-----------17350

Season milestones to watch---- Ray and Fred 200K, Pat 50K
I have to have lab work done AGAIN today. At least I am not tested as much as a Tour de France rider.

Have a safe, healthy, and happy day team. Row for your good health. And Sandi--- 13 meters shy of 5000. Give me a break. One more pull, one more pull would have given you 5000. (just kidding)

Sorry I let the team down by not pulling those 13meters yesterday. But it is what it is. I promise to make it up in a few days. :D :D

I just noticed that we just past 7 million meters!! Also today I realized that when I feel strong, timed pieces work better and when I feel tired, set meters work better. I guess knowing that I'm on the clock and it doesn't stop helps me to stop being tired and just keep pulling.

When I first started erging last December, I played around with both types of workouts. I found I was least motivated by timed workouts, probably because mentally I would think no matter how hard I rowed I wouldn't get done any faster. These days, most of the time I use the "Just Row" feature and have total time, total distance, and another stat like calories burned or something displayed. I play a mental game with myself, using any of the stats' current reading to set mini-goals during the row. Like, if I pass 5000m but I only have a couple minutes to reach 25 minutes rowed, I can usually talk myself into rowing two more minutes. Once I reach that, maybe if I row just a little farther I'll cross 350 calories. I still use the set distance options to test my fitness progress by shooting for new personal bests occasionally, but day to day I find I'll row more meters per workout with the mindgame approach.

That's funny because I would just feel defeated and stop with the Just Row on a main workout. Although I also do mini-goals throughout a workout. I usually do math in my head and figure out what I need to row in order to get to a certain time/meter combination.

Don't know how many of you are baseball fans, but a local boy, Travis Wood, carried a perfect game last night into the 9th inning against the Phillies. He ended up with no decision. I saw him pitch in high school games and he seems headed for a great career barring injury.
Have a great day team, stay safe and row for your good health.
