LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Virtual Team Challenge: Thru Day 2 of 31
Wowzer, mates! We've rowed almost a million meters in two days!! It's a tight race between several teams! Anything can happen....and since that's true, well we might as well believe we're going to win! We're flanked by RowPro, Ariel Toy, the Ancients, and Timbuk2! As this holiday weekend winds up, have a safe journey to wherever you may be traveling....and make a resolution to get more revolutions on the erg! We need your meters!

Ship's medics are mystified....we have an outbreak of half marathon fever. Some new crew members may indeed be experiencing first half marathon fever episodes....easily identified by the shouts of "Hooyah! I did it !", followed by a request for extra seat cushions from our ship's stores. We profiled several options back on team forum page 361 on December 22 in a segment called The Fanny Factor. Independent testing of sorbothane vs gel is occurring. Queen Minnie may report in on her test results soon.

Still awaiting the gel pad to arrive before I can compare with the sore-no-more pad. The gel pad is coming from Canada. Presumably by pony express.Kona2 wrote: We profiled several options back on team forum page 361 on December 22 in a segment called The Fanny Factor. On a thrilling note, AJ "won" a Cabot cheese package in the oldsters cheezer race. Maybe the mail from Vermont will run faster than from north of the border.
Welcome to our new team members.
Great to have y'all aboard.

Well, if there aint' going to be any rules, let's get the fight started. Someone count. 1,2,3 go ...
Or, for our cross-training crew members:

Re: test results
Chris - Not pony express this time of year. I'm sure the musher doggies are running as fast as they can to deliver mail from both these places.just27 wrote:Still awaiting the gel pad to arrive before I can compare with the sore-no-more pad. This week
Nice job everyone, way to row! Looks like we moved up a place in the ranks for the January challenge (last time I looked).
I have a busy work week ahead...I'll be rowing, but probably won't upload meters until later in the week.
Row swift, stay healthy & happy.

Virtual Challenge: Thru Day 3 of 31
And we're off and rowing! We've got ten percent of this challenge under our oars...the ten percent that occurred over some holidays in many parts of our rowing universe. Now to fit the work week in, get back into the balancing act! This is the good part - we GET to row....not have to row...!
We're still sandwiched between RowPro and Ariel Toy.....and those Ancients beasties lurk not far behind (and we do know that all these teams are capable of explosive sprints!).

Hooyah! The new calendar year may be just getting under way, but the rowing calendar is in great rowing stride! New teammates are zooming along, and it looks like we have a bunch of rowers who will be entering the ONE million meter season countdown before too long! Point is, it's not too late to be one of those rowers if that's a goal of yours.
Shiver me timbers and pass the hot cocoa! Dan reports that during a holiday trip he had occasion to row outside....in 24 F temperatures. Sounds like he is working up to rowing on water! I have new respect for those rowing at environmental extremes...although some may say its no wonder we're called Luna-Tics!
