Hi All,

Appreciate the encouragement... I've been nursing a sore shoulder for the last week or so, however not rowing hasn't helped it so I figured I might as well just get into it again.
So how good is our weather... 42deg. C yesterday, and 21 today!
Our fire-fighters certainly needed the change - a very early start to the season for them! :(

Nice image Chris!

Toothdoc, good to hear you are getting over that bug... sounds like you can keep that one over there!

Cheers,
Dave

Gina 12,605 m She's getting some extra time in!
Yes, I put in some extra time on Friday...most I've ever rowed in one workout. That 1/2 moon is still lurking out there, tempting me  But for now my goal is 150K in the HC.

Congrats on all the meter milestones.

Hi Dave

I rowed early yesterday before it really set in....Tomo didn't row until about 7.30pm and it was still around 36deg c up in the garage.......he insisted on rowing so I was 'water boy' spraying him down.... gotta give it to him for effort....

Hopefully an easier day for the fire-fighters today........

Cheers BBB

Thanks for the welcome. I am closing in on 1M lifeteime meters (85k to go). Not nearly as much as a lot of folks, but I am just getting back to erging after some time off.

Image Holiday Challenge....woohoo! I'm dreaming of a 100 MM team season.......(some say I'm dreaming alright!) Rockin and rowin' through the holiday season...or at least the November 26 thru December 24th part of it! :D

29 days to travel 50K (Kids Club), 100K or 200K during the Holiday Challenge!

Whoa...this can look pretty intimidating if it's your first challenge!

If you're just getting started with your personal season's meters, as some who use indoor rowing as a cross-training exercise are, start slow and row some every day, or 6 out of 7 days if you would like to take a day to do something different. There's no question that this will take a chunk of personal time....the payback is amazing, though! I wouldn't advocate the deadline driven approach --- save that for something else! I find that the best approach for me is to get out ahead of the curve, and earn yourself some free-from-rowing days that you can use to manage the inevitable unpredictability of the challenge season! We have a couple more days in this year's challenge, and that means an easier daily rowing schedule.

The Holiday Challenge: What It Takes To Get There - a little planning never hurts!Image

Season meters as of 207/365 = 57,852,367 m

Total meters on the day = 249,661 m

Oars in space (participation) = 26 percent

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights....Celebrations:

6.4 MM Wild Bill
40K Tomo

Image Will S with a half moon and 32,089 m
Image Barbara with half marathon/moon # 99....Agent 99 was a Barbara I think...
Image Wild Bill with a half moon and 25,000 m
Image Chris with half marathon # 137
Image Peter H with half marathon # 31
Image K2 with another slow half marathon # 12

And thanks to everyone who rowed today - we're closer to our target!

Peter G 2,000 m
Coulter 2,000 m (I believe Coulter fits into the 11 - 12 age group....so 40K is next milestone...so he has 18,936 m to go!)
Tomo 2,025 m (19,753 m) to the next goal !
Laurie 2,500 m
Bill 6,120 m
Anne 7,000 m
Jack 7,014 m
Teresa 7,020 m
Steven 7,208 m
Gina 7,500 m

K2 21,097 m
