THREE Million Meter Watch:

Image with (36,000 m) to go! Today's the day! (predicts the astrogator)
Spot on math as always, Madame Astrogator :D

Sometimes I think I can actually feel us getting closer to the moon ... must be a sign of dehydration or something :?

Count on it. I'm your worst nightmare, if being behind by 1 Million can be be a threat. As long as Kiba does't get in the way.dc

Image Team stars are flying through space towards the moon! Once again the Luna-Tics crew demonstrates its ability to row amazing amounts of meters during a celebration! We are surrounded by a full moon, and FIVE half moons - AND both birthday twins completed half marathons for birthday meters. Crikey !! (to borrow a Bazzy term!)

Season meters as of 98/365 = 23,515,041 m

Total meters on the day = 245,611 m

Oars in space = 23 percent

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights.....Celebrations:

3 MM Wild Bill
1.6 MM Chris
400K Angelo

Image Full moon for Dan with 53,946 m (looks like a red giant to me - but figured you must not have gotten all the meters into a 24 hr period for that?)
Image Wild Bill with a half moon @ 36,000 m
Image Barbara with 25,547 m and half marathon # 14
Image Brandy (our newbie) with 23,600 gets a half moon since all the meters were posted at once for us
Image Ted (related in some way to Brandy) gets a half moon for posting the 22,000 m
Image Chris with half marathon # 67 on the year

ONE Million Meter Watch:

Dave with (28,974 m) to go!

Tim with (63,483 m) to go!

Will S with (80,153 m) to go!

Darryl with (81,955 m) to go!

And thanks to today's crew for all the kinds of meters - you sweated for every one of them!

Tim 4,223 m
Dave H 4,999 m
David 5,398 m
K2 7,000 m
Peter G 11,000 m
Darryl 14,357 m
Bazzy 16,444 m
Chris 21,097 m
Ted 22,000 m
Brandy 23,600 m
Barbara 25,547 m
Wild Bill 36,000 m
Dan 53,946 m (wowzer!)

Congratulations! You made it through the week!

Paddling under the full moon

Post by just27 » August 8th, 2009, 2:45 am

It was my second kayaking experience tonight, under a full moon (okay, plus one day, but full enough!) which still looked a mighty long way away. After 3 hours of moonlight paddling, I just gave the erg a fond pat when I got home, and am toddling off to bed. Must be all the fresh air.

Have a weekend, everyone!

Congrats to all on your milestones and birthdays. Sorry I hadn't been able to add some distance to the moon, I'm not missing but sidelined. It seems I picked up a nasty stain of staph infected cellulitis. It on my kneecap. Not a good spot. Fortunately it didn't get into the joint or lymph nodes. So after 4 days in the hospital I may get to go home tomorrow, (Sunday). I don't know when I'll get get back to rowing. This would be your chance to catch me Kona. Be back soon.

To The Moon!!!
