Missed the WRC team sign up deadline? Never fear, we'll be glad to add you to the year round team roster for the Luna-Tics! If you believe you were trying to sign up within the designated time frame, and the website wouldn't take your registration, give the folks at Concept2 a shout and see what can be done.
We are a group of folks who row all year round, and many participate in every challenge. In fact, the challenge times are when we make our best progress towards our lunar destination!
Take a look at some of the very recent pages of our now extensive team forum - we have some pretty inspirational stories that our lunar crew shares with each other. A common thread is that we help motivate each other throughout the rowing year! We only really started the forum pages a little over a year ago (even though the team has been in existence since 2003). We are just a bit looney from time to time, focused on getting to the moon and beyond - and focused on staying healthy using rowing as a part of our exercise regimes. Many of us participate in other sports as well. So - consider the year round team if you missed the deadline. We'll cheer you onward!
Today's challenge update finds the Luna-Tics in 8th place overall, with 71 crew members. As predicted, there were just a few biggie team updates of meter counts for those teams that do a once a week update - and some near the midnight hour joining of teams.
You all rowed an astounding 552,683 m yesterday! Wowzer, half a million at a clip - we're zooom zooom zoooming thru space! Every meter counts !
Thank you to all who are rowing with the Luna-Tics - either as part of the WRC team or on the year round team. It's all good.
