Great bunch of athletes with a wealth of information I wish I had paid attention to. Turely learned some lessons about competing over seas the least of which was to find out as much as possible about racing on ergs! The water I have down but far behind the curve on the erg. Hope to catch up by Boston.
Many thanks to Lisa and Brickett. Couldn't have made the trip easier for us.

We just had a great bunch of indoor rowers on this USIRT. The exchange of training ideas and mutual pain of the 2000m competition made this group of individuals into a team that gave everyone support. Our coach, Linda, seemed to have just the right thing to say to each person as we worried about how to give our best effort. I also discovered a wonderful secret about lightweights. In the evening following a race it is almost required that gobs of ice cream be eaten! Thanks Lisa and Brickett for your great planning and many thanks to Concept2 for sponsoring this team.
While Dennis is now shoveling snow in Denver, we are raking debris and tree branches from the big windstorm which happened while I was gone.

I'll admit that I didn't expect much in the way of teamwork when I showed up to pull an erg piece, but I was completely wrong. Many thanks to everyone on the team for being a great, supportive group. The team, along with Lisa, Brickett (family, too) and Linda just made everything go so smoothly. Of course, the quality of the trip wasn't hurt by the fact that Amsterdam is a pretty cool (at this time of year, in many ways) place to go visit.
Good luck to all in training for Feb.
