Rowing videos

No, ergs don't yet float, but some of us do, and here's where you get to discuss that other form of rowing.

Rowing videos

Post by ancho » April 17th, 2007, 5:07 am

A couple of nice ones to start with:

Traineras, traditional and very popular coastal rowing in northern Spain:

And you never ought to leave out a nice surfrowing video:

So, where are yours?

Here's a neat trick that requires a fair bit of skill: switching scull blades over from one side to the other without tipping over into the water.

PBs: 2K 6:13.4, 5K 16:32, 6K 19:55, 10K 33:49, 30min 8849m, 60min 17,309m
Caution: Static C2 ergs can ruin your technique and timing for rowing in a boat.
The best thing I ever did to improve my rowing was to sell my C2 and get a Rowperfect.

The one that I would like to have seen was a reported head stand on the seat of a free floating single scull. It was long before the days of personal video cameras, so I have only the word of an eye witness.
