Hi,
Looking for help finding a custom made seat. Suffering from hamstring pain that could be improved with a custom seat.
Does anyone know of such a thing?
Cheers
Ben

Try Carl Douglas. I believe they provide a soft mold to put your butt in to establish the sit bone spacing.
Hope this helps.

Some bike shops (I've seen the device at shops that are Specialized dealers) can do this.
However, you can also do it at home (wearing thin boxers or ...) by sitting on a sheet of paper that's on the carpet. If you then hold the paper up to the light at just the right angle you'll see the indentations from your ischial tuberosities.

Is that going to work "on-the-water"? You're writing in an OTW thread not a bike-erg thread.

Yes, it works for both. Bike seats are more critical though because the pressure on the sit bones is more concentrated and in a fixed position for longer periods of time. The depressions and holes in rowing shell seats, generally, are big enough and spaced correctly to accommodate most body sizes - they've had over a hundred years of experience to get it right.
The seat in my boat works fine, and the pad I use on the erg seat was custom cut (by me) using that sit bone measurement method, except I used corrugated cardboard to get the impressions.
