So I pretty much destroyed my ring finger on my right hand (I row star) and had to have surgery (plate and 4 screws). It's a joint fracture too which really sucks. But yea I'm starting physio next week to loosen up the scar tissue, but I start fall season and my university at the end of the month.
I should be able to grip a composite oar with my index and middle finger, but i'm worried about it slipping out (also on the erg).
Soo was wondering if something like weightlifting hooks could be a good safety net while still relying on my grip mainly

Lemme know if anyone has any experience with this/input.
Also can't remember how round a composite oar is (gotta love offseason lol) is it around the same of a weight bar?
Broken finger and weight lifting hooks
No, ergs don't yet float, but some of us do, and here's where you get to discuss that other form of rowing.
