waterproof smartphone holder

No, ergs don't yet float, but some of us do, and here's where you get to discuss that other form of rowing.

waterproof smartphone holder

Can any of your recommend a <preferably affordable> holder for a larger smartphone (in my case the Note 3) so that I can run an app like BoatCoach and see my smartphone while I row? Of course it needs to be waterproof plus able to clip near my feet. Also would be nice if it didn't cause the phone to overheat but not quite sure how to do that while still keeping it waterproof.

I use a lifeproof FRE case for my iphone. I have not had the "opportunity" to fully submerge it in the past couple of years, but it had dealt with plenty of splashing.

I use it with the new magnetic mount, which is pretty cool, because all that goes on the case is a little magnetic shim.

I really like this because I can permanently put mounts on my boat, and bike, and then use the belt clip as well all with the same attachment on the iphone case. I really like the belt clip because it has a secondary lock that keeps the phone rigidly in place.
