Many times when I square the port oar for the catch it will not be "seated" against the flat on the oar lock. I believe it tends to wash out vs dive. I've adjusted the pitch to get a better bite, which hasn't helped very much. The starboard side is always solid. I bought the boat used last year (Janousek, 1995 in excellent shape) and started to notice this when applying power to the water. I replaced the sleeves and oar locks, which had a lot of wear, and this didn't improve the problem!
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Bob
Unstable Port Oar??
No, ergs don't yet float, but some of us do, and here's where you get to discuss that other form of rowing.
