which single to get?

No, ergs don't yet float, but some of us do, and here's where you get to discuss that other form of rowing.

which single to get?

Post by tewbz » February 6th, 2013, 10:40 pm

so I have narrowed my search down to 2 singles of the same model but 2 different years.
my first choice is a 2007 midweight fluidesign elite.
the other is a 2005 of the same model.
differnce between the 2 is the year of make, the 2005 is alittle light which is a bad thing in this case because its about a lb under minimum weight. and it has had the bow deck replaced which im not sure if it would affect anything. only other differnces i see are cosmetic(more scratches on the older boat, newer boat is virtualy scratch free) and last, the 05 is about 1k cheaper.

im really leaning towards the 07 due to being in better condition, and I think it will hold its resale value bette. what do you guys think?

You know what I've realized? You should do what makes you happy. If I were you, and money were not an issue, I would buy the '07. Since this is something that you will be having for many years, it will be worth the extra 1k. The fact that the deck was replaced on the '05 is a bit disconcerting, for me at least.

Best of luck and be sure to post pictures once you buy it!!

Enjoy! :)
