Quantum Racing Shells

No, ergs don't yet float, but some of us do, and here's where you get to discuss that other form of rowing.

Quantum Racing Shells

Post by Stroke4 » September 17th, 2010, 9:40 am

These boats have recently come back onto the market. What is so special about them that makes them so good? Are they any different then a new Vespoli V1 or Hudson? Any opinions on the Quantum Shells?

A lot of it has to do with the name behind the design. Graeme King is a legendary hull designer and therefore his 'Quantum' line is extremely popular. They are indeed beautiful shells, I've been able to row a Quantum 4+ from the early 2000s and it is a gem. The new shells should be excellent - as in competitive with Empacher and Hudson.
