Model D seat making noise

Post by jsmsr1 » April 28th, 2015, 5:42 pm

I purchased a model D about a week ago. I've put about 55K meters on it. Today the seat started making a noise that sounded like a train going over the gap in the rail. (clickity clack is the best I can describe it). There also seems to be a little bit of white plastic on the seat rail. Probably from the seat rollers. Any idea what's going on?

If it's a factory fresh machine then don't worry.
If it's second-hand then change the seat rollers for a new set.

Clean the rail with some windex.

Having bought my C2 used, in addition to cleaning the rail, I've found that cleaning the rollers with Windex - especially at the beveled edges - helps to keep the rail clean longer.
