HI ALL: I'm new to rowing and have been slowly increasing my time and distance. Now at around 20 minutes I get a pins and needles feeling in my right hamstring and down to my heel, right side only....after I get off and stretch for a moment or two I start back up and it comes again after about 3 to 5 min. It feels like it's going to sleep...is this normal?

JK,
You may want to ck with an MD on that one. Pins and needles often means nerve issues.

Make sure your shorts area flexible and have plenty of room in the butt.
A lot of clothes are restrictive, especially when sitting.
Unpadded cycling shorts are good, and other flexible nylon/lycra material.

JK,
While I whole heartedly agree that you should check with your MD on the tingling, you may also want to check how tight those foot straps are.
