Feet and Foot Straps?

Post by Triguy » December 15th, 2007, 6:29 pm

Where should the foot straps hit your feet? I'm currently using the C2 at my health club, and the foot straps loosen up after a while, and I keep having to break stroke to retighten them-is this common, or a function of worn straps? Thanks, this is an addictive workout.

Two ways to do it.

1. strap goes over the bend in your shoe.
2. ankle bone is level with the monorail.

choose your poison.

Many of us row "strapless" so don't use the straps for any of our training. I would only strap down now for a shorter race, and maybe practice rows or intervals in anticipation of a race.

Rowing strapless seems to really help with technique, and so there is a lot of discussion about it here over the years if you want to search for that.

You still have to set the footplates for strapless rowing.
